My Peaceful Walk on the Mardi Himal Trek
My Peaceful Walk on the Mardi Himal Trek
Blog Article
The Mardi Himal Trek was one of the most peaceful walks I have ever done. I had heard it was short and quiet, and that’s exactly what I wanted. The trail was not crowded, and the views were big and clear. Right from the start, I could see the snowy peaks of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. I kept stopping just to stare.
The Mardi Himal Trek is about 40 km long and takes 6 to 10 days to finish, depending on your pace. The highest point on this trek is Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500 meters. I reached it early in the morning, and the golden light on the snow made me stop and breathe it all in.
Along the way, I met kind locals, stayed in warm tea houses, and ate hot dal bhat after long walks. The trail passed through green forests, open hills, and quiet spots where I felt calm and happy. I didn’t rush. I took my time, watched the clouds move, and smiled at every dog that followed me for a while.
The Mardi Himal Trek is great for first-timers or for anyone who wants a peaceful escape. It showed me that even short treks can bring big joy.
